George Hotz, previously known as an iPhone hacker, announced that he hacked the Playstation 3 and then provided exploit details. Various articles have been written about this but none of them appear to have analyzed the actual code. Because of the various conflicting reports, here is some more analysis to help understand the exploit.

Marijn Kentie написал новый рендер для Unreal Engine 1 (Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Deus Ex и Rune), для Direct3D 10 оборудования. Использование нового графического режима позволило не только без проблем запускать старые игры на базе движка в системах с современными видеокартами, но добавить в игры поддержку максимальных уровней анизотропной фильтрации и полноэкранного сглаживания, включая сглаживание полупрозрачных объектов, таких как листья и решётки, а также спецэффект Parallax occlusion mapping, с помощью пиксельных шейдеров делающий картинку четче и объемнее.
Рендер протестирован со следующими играми на базе Unreal Engine:

Также сделана и предварительная версия рендера для Direct3D 11, но пока основное развитие идет в рендере для Direct3D 10.
